About
The Color Unit was specially developed to add pigment, in the injection of polyurethane, directly into the equipment's head, with significant applications in the automotive, furniture, and footwear industries.
In the conventional system, the polyol tank is filled with pre-pigmented material. With the Color Unit, there is no need to use pre-pigmented material in the tank, and the color is introduced into the mixture at the time of injection.
The Color Unit is assembled in an independent cabinet from the main unit, allowing it to be added to older equipment, where the color selection is done manually by the operator, or to current equipment where color selection can be programmed.
Features
A dosing pump attached to an independent motor system for each color moves and doses the color component, allowing for variation.
- Continuous flow. Speed adjustment via keyboard with RPM reading on display
- Jacketed tank with mechanical agitator maintaining uniform temperature and homogenized pigment
- Thermostat for temperature control and indication
- Pressure switch for indication/monitoring of pressures in the line, with safety contact for disarming if the working pressure exceeds the preset limit
