The 100 Series features the AIRLESS CA-100S equipment for resin application/roving or for wet-out, employing an external mixing gun with a combination of air assisted airless with a unique air containment system.
The resin/gel-coat leaving the spray nozzle has a catalyst flow introduced immediately on both sides of the fan, completely penetrating the resin and then the mixed material is enveloped 360º by a shield of containing air.
The immediate introduction of the catalyst increases the time the two are charged together, providing complete integration and mixing of the catalyst into the resin/gel-coat and the air shield prevents free catalyst particles from escaping from the spray. Thus there is complete use of the dispensed catalyst and damage caused by free catalyst in the atmosphere is virtually eliminated.
In the AIRLESS CA-100S equipment coupled to the gun, it has a high performance roving cutter with pneumatic motor speed control and directional adjustment (horizontal/vertical) to control the direction of the glass.
Catalyst pump, built in stainless steel, dispenses an exact percentage of 0.5% to 4.5% of the resin volume and is slaved to the 11:1 resin pump.
Roving brake, ceramic guides and rack for two roving boxes are incorporated into the set of arms on the AIRLESS CA-100S equipment.
The AIRLESS CA-100SW units are available versions supplied without a carriage for wall mounting.
